On 26-27 February 2025, the F.A.C.T.S. project met in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event was hosted by the Bulgarian project partner, the ICSS Foundation.

Over the course of two productive days of meetings, the partners discussed the progress of the work so far, organized the next phase of implementation and communication of the program, and laid out the next steps for the project.

Project partner RECEBI presented the literature review compiled for the project. This review, which is available on the project website, serves as the foundation for the educational training program and accompanying guidelines for professionals and administrative staff working with autistic beneficiaries and their families on sexuality-related issues.

PLOES, the project coordinator, presented the F.A.C.T.S. project curriculum. This set of six training modules is designed to provide a comprehensive guide for professionals working with autistic individuals, particularly in the context of sexuality and gender issues.

The partners also discussed the creation of an upcoming series of educational videos.

The F.A.C.T.S project is co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the Erasmus+ program, “KA220-VET – Collaboration in the Education and Training Sectors”. The initiative focuses on the creation of educational material on sexuality and gender identity, which will form the basis for the training of professionals — health and administrative staff — who work with autistic people.
